We had a great time in NYC. Although the forecast was questionable, it ended up being a beautiful spring day.

The flowers at Rockefeller Center showed that spring was finally here.
Next, we were off to a behind the scenes escorted tour of Radio City Music Hall. The Grand Foyer was enormous and beautiful.
The theater was breathtaking.

At the end of the tour, we had a question, answer and photo session with one of the Rockettes.
Afterwards, we were off to lunch at the Carnegie Deli.

After lunch, we strolled through (and rested in) a portion of Central Park.
Laura bravely volunteered to help out some street performers. We're happy to report that Laura survived their death defying feats.
We didn't have time to make it to the real Lady Liberty, so we took advantage of this smaller version outside a city shop.

This was our second year at Linganore Wine Cellar's Caribbean Wine Festival. It was a beautiful sunny day that was great for enjoying a chilled bottle of wine and listening to two bands.

Our first home fondue night was a lot of fun. We had a broth fondue, 2 cheese fondues, a chocolate fondue and a lot of appetizers, side dishes and desserts. We're pretty sure no one left hungry!

After bowling, some of us had coffee and tea at Barnes & Noble. Ironically, the only seats available were in the children's section!
Our chapter was contacted by the US Correspondent for Swiss National Television. They were doing a story on Swiss people who chose not to have children. Because there was no organization in Switzerland like No Kidding!, they wanted to do a piece on No Kidding! in the US as part of the larger story. The Correspondent, Sebastien, asked if he could cover our Super Bowl Pot Luck Dinner. Sebastien interviewed 5 current members before the party began. Once the game started, his camerman filmed our group watching the game and enjoying the party. Thank you Claire and Eric for hosting such a wonderful party and for allowing the Swiss Television team to join us.

Laura Scott, author of the Childless by Choice Project (documentary and book) poses with her husband and her videographer. Laura taped our adventurous event and interviewed Susan, Jeff and Mitch. Afterwards, Laura went up for a 2500 ft view.

After 3 1/2 years of cancellations, this determined trio finally took to the skies.
Lynn, Steve and Mitch each took a tandem flight at 2500 ft at Highland Aerosports on the Eastern Shore.
Since there are no mountains on the Eastern Shore, the gliders are towed to gliding altitude by an ultralight plane.

On April 17, 2004 we met at the National Zoo, or more correctly the Smithsonian National Zoological Park. The group arranged for a guided tour, which took about an hour and a half. Click on any of the thumnails for a full-size photo.
